About Piaget

Founded in 1874 by Georges-Édouard Piaget in La Côte-aux-Fées and now part of Richemont, Piaget is the historical specialist in ultra-thin watch movements. The Caliber 9P (1957) and 12P (1960) — both still benchmarked today — established the brand's reputation for movements that could be fitted into cases under 3mm thick, enabling jewelry watches and dress watches with proportions impossible for competitors using standard calibers.

The Altiplano line continues this tradition, with the Altiplano Ultimate Concept holding the record for thinnest mechanical watch (2mm total case thickness) until Bulgari surpassed it. The Polo, introduced in 1979, is Piaget's integrated-bracelet sports/dress hybrid, repositioned in 2016 as the Polo S with a more accessible steel-case offering. The Limelight collection covers women's high-jewelry watches, where Piaget's combined movement and gem-setting capability is the brand's most differentiated competence.

Pricing reflects the manufacture's tier — Polo S steel from $11,000, Altiplano gold from $18,000, complicated and gem-set references substantially higher.
