About Vacheron Constantin
Founded in Geneva in 1755 by Jean-Marc Vacheron, Vacheron Constantin is the oldest continuously operating watch manufacturer in the world. It completes the "Holy Trinity" of Swiss haute horlogerie alongside Patek Philippe and Audemars Piguet, and every watch carries the Geneva Seal — guaranteeing in-canton manufacture and movement finishing to the strictest published criteria.
The current collection is structured around clear identities. The Patrimony and Traditionnelle cover round dress watches with classical proportions. The Historiques line revives specific archive references with modern movements inside vintage cases. The Overseas, introduced in 1996 and significantly redesigned in 2016, is the brand's integrated-bracelet luxury sports watch and the natural cross-shop with the Royal Oak and Nautilus. The Métiers d'Art collection showcases enameling, engraving, and gem-setting craft.
Vacheron has historically positioned itself as the most discreet of the three top Geneva houses, less aggressive on marketing than Patek or AP and often slightly more attainable at comparable complication levels. Entry pricing for steel Overseas references starts around $25,000.
