Tudor Watches

Founded by Rolex's Hans Wilsdorf in 1926 to offer Rolex-quality cases at lower price points, Tudor spent most of the twentieth century as a quiet supplier to military and tool-watch markets — including French Marine Nationale dive watches and US Navy SEAL contracts. The brand was relaunched globally in 2010 with a sharper identity centered on heritage tool watches.

The Black Bay collection is the modern face of Tudor: vintage-inspired dive watches in 41mm, 36mm, and 39mm sizes, the Black Bay 58 (a smaller-cased homage to the 1958 Submariner reference 7924), and the Black Bay GMT, Pro, and Chrono variants. The Pelagos is the brand's purpose-built modern titanium diver, and the Ranger and Royal cover field-watch and dress-sport segments respectively.

Since 2015, Tudor has used in-house Manufacture Calibre movements in most references — distinguishing it from competitors at this price tier who still rely on outsourced Sellita or ETA movements. Most Tudor sport references retail $3,500 to $5,500, making the brand a direct cross-shop with Omega Seamaster and entry-level Rolex sport models.
